But with growth came a challenge: how to maintain their signature hospitality while embracing the digital tools that modern customers expect.

A partnership based on progress
Averdis wanted more than just great food. They envisioned a space where digital innovation met ergonomic design, where every screen, bracket, and payment terminal played a role in making service smoother, faster, and more inclusive. That’s where SpacePole came in.

The Zurich train station store marks the fifth collaboration between Ayverdis and SpacePole. With each new opening, the setup has been refined, learning from the last, improving the next. What began as a vision for digital transformation has evolved into a well-honed formula for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Optimizing Space for Staff Efficiency
From the outset, Ayverdis made it clear: counter space was precious. Their POS setup needed to be sleek, accessible, and intuitive, not just for customers, but for the staff working behind the scenes. To meet this challenge, staff screens were mounted from ceiling poles. The operating screens attached to SpacePole Gas Arms, allowing for height adjustability and rotation for optimal positioning. This clever use of vertical space kept counters clear and workflows uninterrupted.

In the kitchen, the same principle applied. Ceiling-mounted screens ensured the pass remained open and uncluttered, allowing dishes to flow from kitchen to customer without delay. It was a small change with a big impact, keeping the energy high and the service fast.

Enhancing the Customer Journey
Ayverdis prioritized choice and comfort for its customers. Counter ordering was streamlined using tablets housed in SpacePole U-Frames, paired with swing arm-mounted payment terminals on SpacePole’s Paylift, designed for intuitive use and accessibility. Nine ordering stations were installed at varying heights, including wall-mounted units, freestanding kiosks, and the manned counter system. Each station featured DuraTilt mounts for the Yomani  payment terminals, ensuring that every customer, regardless of height or mobility, could place their order with ease and confidence.
